He was a dedicated machinist for Continental Field System and previously worked with Hobart Manufacturing in Richmond Hill. Dan loved and enjoyed his family and was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Rebecca Lynn White Mayer of Pooler, GA; three daughters, Jennifer Mayer of NJ, and Danielle Arnold (Micheal) and Jamie Mayer, all of Pooler, GA; three grandchildren; his father of Hinesville, GA; two sisters, Lynda Reis (Robin) of Marietta, GA, and Karrie Walker (Michael) of Savannah, GA; one brother, Mitchell Mayer of Columbus, OH, and nine nieces and nephews.
