He was not included in the 1900 census and was age 9 in the 1910 census so his birthdate must have been in 1901 if it was in March. Lawrence registered for the draft on September 12, 1918, at the Metropolitan Bank Building on the corner of 2nd Avenue S. and 6th Street. He was a student at St. Thomas College in St. Paul although he gave as his permanent address the residence of his parents at 3537 West 28th Street in Minneapolis. Lawrence was described as slender and of medium height with grey eyes and dark hair. In the 1930 census, he and Myrtle and their daughter Joan and Myrtle’s mother Clara Bray live in south Minneapolis. Vincent was an insurance adjuster. He was not a veteran.
