Cloyd was born in 1932 to August and Bertha Kilde in Blackduck, MN where he also grew up and attended school. He was united in marriage to Sharron Beier on March 11, 1953 and in 1956 they made their home in Grand Rapids, MN and later moved to Cohasset, MN. Cloyd was a proud Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner/operator of Kilde Construction and a longtime member of the Kilde Brothers Band. Cloyd enjoyed hunting, woodworking and spending time at the cabin in Blackduck. His new founded love was the Kilde Barn. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Sharron; sisters, Florence, Mert, Lucille and Darlene; and brothers, Bill, Joe, August and Alvern. Cloyd is survived by two daughters, Karen Kilde and Jeanine Kilde; son, Duane (Jennella) Kilde; two sisters, Jenny Hanson and Verna Nicholson; four grandchildren, Cara Randolph, Amy (Tony) Applebee, Kasey (Krystle) Kilde and Ben Kilde; and three great-grandchildren, Leigha and Jason Wong and Madi Applebee.
