    Notes
    • Living with his widowed mother in Hubbard County in the 1910 census.

He registered for the World War I draft in Potlatch, Idaho, where he worked for the Potlatch Lumber Company. He was married with a wife and child. He was tall and of medium build with gray eyes and brown hair.

In the 1920 census, he was Henry H Mousseau, living with his family in Portland. He was a machine worker at a foundry.

In the 1930 census, he was Henry or Hiram Mousseau (the first name could be either), living with his family in Portland, Oregon. He was an edgeman at a saw mill.

His SS# was issued in Oregon.

In the 1937 and 1939 Portland city directories, he and Elizabeth live at 3729 SE 64th Avenue. He’s a millworker for I-PLbrCo.

In the 1940 census, Hiram, Elizabeth, and Bernice live in a rented house at 3729 S E 64th Avenue. They had lived at the same house in 1935. Included in the household was the 13 year-old Dorothy Vandcock or VanScock, foster daughter, also born in Oregon, and who had lived in a differnt house in Portland five years earlier. Hiram was an edgerman in sawmill. Hiram was educated through two years of high school. Dorothy was in school but only had completed third grade at that point. From the 1930 census, we see that Dorothy was the daughter of Floyd and Veola Van Scoik.

He registered for the World War II draft in 1942. At that time, he and his wife Elizabeth lived at 3729 SE 64 Avenue in Portland. He was employed by Oregon Ship Building of St. Johns. (This is the same work location as Anton Haugen, #14093, and Herman Anderson, #7760.)
