In a letter to Cora dated December 16, 1979, Benetta says that “Selma and LaVerne still live on the same farm near Soldiers Grove.” In a April 3, 1985, letter to Cora, Benetta writes: "Selma and Verne moved to Anna Aren's house. They moved in 1st March." Her obit said that she loved bowling and that she was a professional painter and housecleaner. Member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Soldiers Grove.
