- There was a Jorgen Ellingbo baptized in the East Norway Lake Lutheran Church in 1877. Either this Jørgen was actually born in 1877, instead of 1878, or there was an earlier Jorgen who died before this Jørgen was born.
In the 1900 census, George is a salesman boarding with the Peter and Marie Gandrud family in Norway Lake Twp, Kandiyohi County.
In the 1907 Minneapolis city directory, he is Geo A Ellingboe, a clerk for Gronseth & Gandrud. He rooms at 600 19th Avenue S.
In the 1908 city directory, he is Geo A Ellingboe, a clerk for Gronseth & Gandrud, boarding at 521½ Cedar Avenue.
The 1909 Minneapolis city directory has George A Ellingbo living at the 1420 South 4th. He is a travel agent.
In the 1910 city directory, he is Geo I, a driver living at 1420 S 4th.
In the 1910 census he is called Ellenbaugh. He lives with his wife Marge and daughter Margaret at 1420 4th St. S. in Minneapolis. His occupation is salesman, perhaps of coffee.
When Edwin was born in 1911, George was a salesman. He and his family lived at 3605 24th Avenue South.
In the 1916 Minneapolis city directory, he was Geo A Ellingboe, driver, residing at 3605 24th Avenue S.
In the 1918 city directory, he and Magda live at 3521 22nd Ave S. He is a driver, Magda is a maid.
Registered for the draft as George Andrew Ellingboe in Minneapolis on September 12, 1918. This George lives at 3521 22nd Avenue South and was born on August 14, 1878. He is native-born U. S. citizen. He is employed by the Minneapolis Steel and Machinery Company, 32nd and Snellling Ave. S.. “making shells.” He shows his nearest relative as Magda Ellingboe, 3521 22nd Avenue. He was described as of medium height and build with brown eyes and dark hair.
At the time of his death (as George Ellingboe), he was living at 2207 E. 36th Street in Minneapolis. He was a laborer at Minneapolis Steel and Machinery Co. He died of bronchopneumonia due to influenza. The informant for his death certificate was Albert A. of Kerkhoven.
