  Notes	The 1900 census gave his birthdate as March, 1883. He registered for the draft on September 12, 1918, in Willmar, as 35 year-old Edward A. Ellingboe. (This suggests the truth of the 1883 birthdate.) He was a farm laborer on his mother’s farm. His mother was Mrs. A. J. Ellingboe. He was described as of medium height and build with blue eyes and red hair. His birth date per his draft registration was 13 March 1882. Single and living at home in Norway Lake Twp with his mother and siblings in the 1920 census. Lived in Sunburg, Route 2, when Elvin was born. Edward, Julia, and Elvin were living in Rolling Forks Twp, Pope County, at the time of the 1930 census. Living with them were Julia’s sister, Clara Halverson, Julia’s mother, Cari Rust, and Edward’s brother Oley. In the 1940 census, he and Julia and Alvin, along with Julia’s sister Clara, lived in Gilchrist Twp, Pope County, in rented residence. He had no occupation, was unable to work, and had earned no income in 1939. He and Julia had 8th-grade educations. He died of a heart attack.
