| Myrtle Hendrickson Carter, baby Early 1911.
The original is a postcard addressed to "Rhodia Ekum from cousin Myrtle" although the card was never sent through the mail and was apparently sent in an envelope from Martha to the folks back home. |
| Family gathering Probably taken about 1917, give or take a year. That seems to be Louise 2nd from the left. Martha's son Arthur is next to Louise and Martha's daughter Myrtle is in the middle in the front. That may be Aida in the front next to Myrtle. The original is a small print on lightweight paper. Cora had two copies: one with no writing on it and one that says "Sister Anna" on the back. We don't know who all of the others are. |
| Myrtle Hendrickson, baby Taken in late 1910 or very early 1911. The original is a postcard addressed to Cora Anderson "from cousin on the other side Myrtle." The card was probably mailed in a separate envelope by Martha to the folks back home. The photographer was Halmrasts at 1429 E. Franklin in Minneapolis. A similar picture of Mildred Hendrickson was apparently taken at the same time. |
| Myrtle Hendrickson Carter Picking strawberries at the Carlson Berry Farm in Bloomington, Minnesota. Taken 1953-1955. Myrtle would have been in her mid-40s. |
| Myrtle, Clara, and Cora Taken at the Carter house during Clara's visit in March of 1944. Myrtle was 33, Clara was 45, and Cora had just turned 48. |
| Myrtle and Maurice with strawberries Taken at the Carlson Berry Farm in Bloomington in 1953, 1954, or 1955. |
| Myrtle Hendrickson and Mildred Hendrickson Myrtle and Mildred were sort-of cousins in a multiple way. Myrtle and Mildred's mother Caroline were first cousins because Myrtle's mother Martha and Caroline's mother Susan were sisters. In addition, Mildred's father was the son of Myrtle's father. This picture was taken about 1913 or 1914 when both girls were about 3 or 4. The original is a postcard with Cora's ink annotation "Mildred & Myrtle." |
