  Notes	The day of her birth, according to the 1866 confirmation record for Brandval, appears to be either 7 Apr, 17 Apr, or 27 Apr. That same record spells her surname as Brandvold, her native farm. The records of the Norway Lake Lutheran churches in Kandiyohi County show that Julia came to Norway Lake in 1883. As Julia Brandval, she is living in the Knudt Sondrol household in the 1885 state census. In the 1910 census, she was a widow living with her daughter and with her two step-sons, Ole and Martin. Julia had had 2 children, only 1 still living. According to the 1910 census, Julia came to the U.S. in 1883. In the 1930 census, Julia is living with Alfred and Clara in Norway Lake Twp, Kandiyohi County, Minnesota. Eugene calls her Brandvol and he has two more children: Marie and Julius. The Dalby database does show a Julius Sondrol “infant” buried in the West Norway Lake Cemetery but not a Marie. In the 1900 and 1910 censuses, Julia is shown as having had 2 children, 1 still living.
