    • In the 1910 census, she is shown as Myrtle E. Gardner, 4, born in Indiana, daughter of John and Rose Gardner of Milaca.

      In the 1920 census, she lives with her siblings and parents in South Harbor Twp, Mille Lacs County, Minnesota.

      Shown as Myrtle E. in the 1930 census. Wally specified her middle initial as S in her death certificate.

      Cora notes in her diary for October 24, 1965: “Called Myrtle Erickson this evening after through looking at TV. They live in a motel at Camden.”

      She was living at Augustana Nursing Home in Minneapolis when she died. She died of “natural causes” but was plagued by several infirmities including a bad heart, arthritis, and edema in her left leg.

      The information in her death certificate was provided by her son. He said that Myrtle had been a manager at the Minneapolis Pleating and Button Co. She had been educated through the 12th grade.

      Funeral service at Valley of Peace Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale. Pallbearers Michael Butler, Fred Thompson, Jerald Fjerstad, and Robert Fjerstad.
