  Notes	“Manda” in the 1920 census. Date of immigration appears to be 1901. Shown as “al” for the question “Naturalized or alien?” so probably wasn’t a citizen at the time of the census. Her obit appeared in the February 21st edition of the Minneapolis Journal. Amanda Smith died February 20, 1926, at the age of 49. She was survived by her husband, one daughter, and one son. She was a member of the Victory Lodge, #60, I. O. S. Services were to be held Monday at the Sundseth Funeral Home, Lyndale at 21st Avenue North, at 2:30 PM. Referred to as Manda Davidson on Lillian Isabel’s death certificate for which she was the informant. Her death certificate, for which H.S. Munn was the informant, also indicated her father’s name as Davidson. Referred to in other sources as Amanda Olson. According to her death certificate, she had been in the U.S. for 25 years. She lived in Mora, Minnesota, but had resided at 1814 8th Street S. in Minneapolis (the home of her daughter Eva) for the two weeks prior to her death. She died of cancer of the tongue.
