Notes |
- In his draft registration card for WWI, dated September 12, 1918, Edward listed his employer as Henry Anderson and his nearest relative as Ida Anderson. All of their addresses are the same: 5 Viroqua, Vernon County. Edward is described as of medium height and weight with blue eyes and brown hair. The date of birth Edward gave is at odds with his implied age in the census.
Living with his brother Henry and sister Ida on a farm in Franklin Twp at the time of the 1920 census.
Still living with his brother in the 1930 census. The older brother is Hans again and owns the farm in Frankin Twp. They’re both single; Hans is 58 and Ed is 53.
There is an “Edward O.” buried with the Bowes. It’s almost certainly this Edward. The dates are 1876-1930.
