  Notes	Lori Krause, age 65, of Prairie Du Chien and formerly of La Farge, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at her home. She was born March 23, 1960, in Viroqua to Alf “Joe” and Leona “Jean” Bergum. She married Kent Krause on May 19, 1984, in Viroqua. Lori and Kent met while working at Vernon Manor in Viroqua and bought a hobby farm in rural La Farge. Kent preceded her in death unexpectedly on March 25, 2008. Lori spent most of her life caring for others. After working at Vernon Manor, Lori opened up their home to care for foster children and later for disabled individuals. After Kent‘s death, Lori eventually went to work at Organic Valley as a custodian until her health no longer allowed her to work. Lori sold her hobby farm and moved to Prairie du Chien in 2016 so that she could be closer to her family. Lori is survived by her daughter, Andrea (Nicholas) Gilberts of Prairie Du Chien, and her two grandchildren, whom she adored so much, Kai Gilberts and Grayson Gilberts. She has also survived by her brothers-in-law, Gerald “Chopper” Wurl and Bruce Krause; and her sisters-in-law, Faith Krause, and Kim Snider. Lori is further survived by several special nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Rose Krause; sisters, Debbie Wurl and Cyndi Amundson; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Amundson and Jeff Snider.
