  Notes	Stanley Justin Krafka was born on July 10th, 1938, the only child to proud parents, Frank Krafka & Ida Krafka (Sumstad). Growing up in Barrett, MN, he attended Barrett High School. Stan was an All-Star athlete for the Barrett Lakers basketball, football & baseball teams. Passing on an athletic scholarship from Bemidji State, Stan enlisted in the Marines on January 9, 1957, where he was a Paratrooper and Flight Equipment man until his Honorable Discharge in 1963. Stan's first marriage was to Lael Nordin in 1964 and they had two children, Ronald Krafka & Jodi Sullivan (Krafka). Ron Krafka passed away in 2021. Stan is survived by his daughter, Jodi, and son-in-law, Paul, and triplet grandchildren; Rylee, McKenzee & Stryker of St. Petersburg, FL. Stan was remarried in 1977, to Catherine McCaffrey, until her passing in 2019. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family at their home in Chaplin, MN, and their lake cabin on beautiful Eagle Lake in Battle Lake, MN. Stan was an accomplished outdoorsman and pilot, enjoying fishing and hunting trips. On his 3rd trip to Kodiak Island, AK, he successfully took down a huge Kodiak Brown Bear. Stan also loved his dogs and trained them to be great hunters. He could always be spotted biking or walking his beloved dogs in his neighborhood.Stan loved all sports. After following and supporting his daughter's golf career, he took up the game later in life. He never missed an opportunity to hit the links with his golf buddies or follow Jodi in one of her many tournaments. Stan will also be remembered for his storytelling. He could initiate a conversation with anyone, anywhere. His stories were special and will be missed.
