Eileen Karen Husa, born June 8, 1943, in Aitkin County, Minnesota, passed away May 17, 2018, in Redding, California. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Terrance Leroy Husa of Burney, California, and her three children; Melody Gray of Eureka California, James Winner of Oregon City, Oregon, and Jennifer Montgomery of Milwaukie, Oregon. She also has four step-children; Cheryl Hiller, David Husa, Bill Husa and Travis Husa. She has six grand children and two great grandchildren. Eileen had thirteen siblings, of which four survive her in Oregon today. Eileen moved from Minnesota to Oregon with her parents who are now deceased, Clarence and Margaret Tasa. Eileen attended a school for Secretarial Office Occupation in Oregon. She moved to California in her thirties and she worked in card rooms there. Eileen was an professional card player. She loved the game. She owned a card room Kris & Eileen's in Eureka, California. She also worked at S&K card room as a player and dealer. She moved to Redding in 1980 and began working at the Casino Club. She loved the outdoors, swimming, sunbathing and beaches. Later in life she was an excellent gardener with a beautiful green thumb and could make anything grow. She had a great love for Pugs and owned many. Eileen was a lovely person, wife, mother and friend. Eileen loved to spend time with family and friends which brought her great joy. She loved ice cream and shared it with her pugs with their very own cone. She always said, "Life is too short, get out and do it while you can.” She will be greatly missed.
