- Sedora C. Underdahl, 97, of Kenyon, died Monday, April 13, 2015 at Kenyon Sunset Home.
Sedora was born August 16, 1917 at the family farm in Warsaw Township, Minnesota the daughter of Lewis and Helen (Holien) Underdahl. She was baptized and confirmed at Vang Lutheran Church where she remained a faithful member. Sedora attended elementary school in District 128 and graduated from Kenyon High School in 1934.
She had various jobs including working at the Kenyon telephone office and at the city library. Her entire life was spent in the Dennison and Kenyon area except for 14 years when she worked at the Vasa Lutheran Home for children near Red Wing. After that, she worked as a nurse’s aid at the Kenyon Sunset Home until her retirement.
She continued being busy with a lot of volunteer work at 3rd World Friends, the Sunset Home, quilting for many years for Vang WELCA and sending cards to the sick and elderly. She also ran small errands for friends.
She is survived by a niece, Marlys “Kit” Van de Mark of Mabel; and two grand nieces. Ellen Van de Mark of Washington, DC; and Megan Van de Mark of Portland, OR.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Phillip Underdahl and a sister-in-law, Helen Underdahl.
