Mr. Haugen was born October 3, 1884 in Setersdalen, Norway and died in Bemidji, Minn., June 11, 1946 at the age of 61 years.

They resided at Fisher for three years where Mr. Haugen worked as a section hand. Upon leaving Fisher, he took a homestead at Norden, Minn., and from there moved to Kelliher where he resided for the past 27 years. He was in the dairying and trucking business here.

Five children were born to this union, one of whom preceded the father in death; Oscar Haugen, who passed away in May 1933.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife Jennie, two daughters, Anne Lindquist of Minneapolis and Thelma Dally of Bemidji at whose home death came to Mr. Haugen; two sons, Andrew of Bemidji and Chester of Kelliher.

Also six grandchildren and a former daughter-in-law, Esther Clark of Minneapolis. All were home to attend the funeral. Mr. Haugen had three sisters that are still living in Setersdalen, Norway.
