- His emigration is indexed in EmiHamn as “Lundström.” He left Göteborg on 20 Sep 1911, destination Duluth.
In his draft registration in Duluth on 5 Jun 1917, he was Rudolph Sundstrom, a bar tender and was single. He gave his birth date as 21 Feb 1892. He was tall and heavy and had blue eyes and dark hair.
Naomi’s notes say that he died in an accident in the U.S.
He is probably not the Ivan Sundstrom who died in Detroit in December of 1939. The death notice in the Detroit Free Press on December 19th said that he lived at 4609 Second and that he was 42. That Ivan Sundstrom was born in Sweden on 1 Jul 1897 according to the death certificate. He was a steel worker and he died in Mt. Carmel Mercy Hospital of stomach cancer.
