Dean’s shot in the last seconds hit the basket, rolled around on the rim and then bounced out. Austin would go on to beat Brainerd for the championship.
Graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1962.
He and his brother Dick owned and operated Holiday Inns in St. Cloud.
