  Notes	Helen K. Berquam, age 74, of Cannon falls, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020 at the Gardens at Cannon Falls. Helen Kay Berquam was born on June 24, 1945 in the Sogn area, the daughter of Helmer and Gladys (Flom) Berquam. She grew up in the Sogn area, attended country school, and graduated from Kenyon High School. She worked for many years for Smead Paper Company.  Helen was very close to her mother, living with her and being her caregiver until she passed away in 2001. They had many happy times together traveling all over, including three trips to Norway. She was an active member of Urland Lutheran Church and often helped in the kitchen for various events. She enjoyed dancing and ice skating in her younger years. Survivors include her siblings Lois Burdick, Gloria Peter, Ione Lundell, Gerhard (Marion) Berquam, and Donald (Glenna) Berquam; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Harland, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
