      Death of Charles Thompson

The serious sickness of Charles Thompson, of this city, which became known to his friends only a few days ago upon his return from California, had a fatal termination at an early hour Saturday morning. The primary cause of death was Bright's disease, the patient also suffering from lung trouble.

Mr. Thompson was an old time and well known resident northern Montana. He was about 52 years old and came west from Wisconsin some 37 years ago. He was engaged in the livestock business and farming in the Highwood country for several years and afterwards became associated with H. LaBarre in the livery, feed, stable and automobile business. In his relations with his fellow citizens Mr. Thompson enjoyed the respect of an ever increasing circle of friends. He was one of the oldest members of Odd Fellows lodge of this city.

The bereaved family consists of a wife and six children--Charles W. Thompson, of Highwood; Mrs. W. C. Blackbur, of Great Falls; and May, Evelyn, Alvin and George Thompson, of this city.
