Information on Odin’s ancestors from “Ancestors of Benetta Celia Olson.” In the 1900 census, he is living with his brother Lewis, his sister Emma, and his niece and nephew, Caroline and Cornelius Turbin, in Crawford County. The Turbin children, with their surname more properly spelled as Turben, were the children of Andrew’s oldest sister, Jane (b. Gjertrud), who died in 1891 in Minnesota. In the 1910 census, he is Andrew C Olson, age 38, living with his second wife, Ida, and family in Clayton Twp, Crawford County, Wisconsin. A tree managed by Jan41806 shows that Andrew’s first wife, Julia Skaar (b. Guri Andersdatter), whom he married in October of 1900, died two days after giving birth to their son, Julius, in June of 1901. She was 24 years old.
