  Notes	When Annette was born, the family lived at 1202-1/2 20th Avenue North. In the 1909 Minneapolis city directory, Clarence Cuthbert was a porter who roomed at 250 Hennepin Avenue. In the 1910 census (April 19th), he and his wife and child lived on Washington Avenue in Minneapolis. Clarence was a barber. His child, Annette, was five months old. He registered twice for the World War I draft. The signatures are identical on the two cards. The first time was June 17, 1917, in Minneapolis, as Clarence E Cuthbert. In this registration, he was 30 years old and born 25 Sept 1887. At that time he was married with two children and lived at 4528 34th Avenue in south Minneapolis. He was the manager of Victory something in Minneapolis. He was 5 feet 7.5 inches tall and of slender build with blue eyes and brown hair. The second time was on September 12, 1918, also in Minneapolis, as Clarence Eugene Cuthbert. In this registration, he was 34 and born on September 25, 1884. Now he was a tool maker for Minneapolis Steel and Machine Company at 27th Avenue and 27th Street in Minneapolis. Clarence lived at 255 Hennepin Avenue. He gave his father as his nearest relative. He was of medium height and build with blue eyes and brown hair. Apparently he divorced, or at least separated from, Edith between the two registrations.
