- In the 1895 state census, he is living with his brother William and William’s wife in Minneapolis.
In the 1900 census, Edward and his wife were living in northeast Minneapolis, near his brothers and his sister and her husband. Edward was a machinist.
In the 1905 Minnesota census, he and his wife Alice, 27, and their son Donald, age 3, live in Minneapolis. He’s a machinist.
In the 1909 Minneapolis city directory, he was a foreman living at 1100 24th Avenue N.E.
He registered for the draft on September 12, 1918, in Minneapolis. He was a machinist foreman and lived at 338 East 17th Street in Minneapolis. He gave his nearest relative as Mrs. Alice Marie Ripley (presumably his wife) of that same address. He was described as of medium height and build with brown eyes and brown hair.
In the 1930 census, he was a foreman for the steam railroad. He and his wife Genevieve, and her son Lester Ordway, lived in Minneapolis.
According to his death certificate, he was the widower of Genevieve M. He worked for the Soo Railroad. He died from cardiac arrest. The informant for his death certificate was Richard Heiber, 4817 Drew Avenue S. (That Richard C Heiber was born 15 Nov 1921 and died 18 Sep 2011.)
