Her obituary was published on p. C8:2 of the November 9, 1984, edition of the Duluth News-Tribune: Jennie M. Goodman, 85, Biwabik, died Thursday in White Community Hospital’s nursing unit in Aurora. She was born in Biwabik and had lived there most of her life. Her husband, Fred C., died in 1933. She was a member of Community United Church of Christ and the Peterson-Lofquist Auxiliary of the American Legion. Surviving are two sons, Robert G. of Biwabik and William D. of Chicago; three daughters, Marie Peterka of Lewiston, Idaho, Gladyce Himango of Butte, Montana, and Leah J. Cartwright of Biwabik; a sister, Mabel Norton Croon, of Chicago; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Range Funeral Home, Virginia, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday in Community United Church of Christ in Biwabik. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the church. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Biwabik.
