  Notes	Ruth Pauline Hesnard nee Rosenau, Mom, nana, grandnana, most recently of Portland, Oregon, but, for almost 50 years, of Sacramento, California, passed away December 27th, 2022 after recently being diagnosed with Abdominal Cancer. Ruth was born Friday, January 13, 1933 in Dallas, Oregon to Dora and Otto Rosenau. After graduating from Perrydale School, Ruth moved to Salem, Oregon, where she met George Emil Hesnard Jr. They wed in 1954 and moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon They went on to have 2 children, Debby and Sandy and celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary prior to George's death in 1999. After moving to Sacramento, California, Ruth entered employment with the State California. While with the State of California, she pursued 2 degrees in business and worked with several departments during her career of close to 4 decades. Ruth retired from the State of California in 1995 but went on to work with Costco for close to 20 years. She also volunteered for Kaiser Permanente, Sacramento Police, and Adventist Health. Ruth was always an avid walker and loved to walk her dogs. She was a Norman Rockwell artwork enthusiast and even visited his residence after her retirement in 1995. After moving to Portland, Oregon in 2016, she enjoyed playing cards and doing puzzles with her many friends at Cherrywood Village. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her 3 year old great-grandson, Quinn. Her friends and family recall her bright smile and for being one of the kindest, sweetest, nicest people around. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, her husband, George, in 1999, and her daughter, Sandy, in 2015, and her sister, Betty, in 2021. She is survived by her daughter, Debby, her granddaughters, Jen and Chrissy, and her great-grandson, Quinn.
