  Notes	He and his parents are pictured on p. 150 of Vang B. Vang B says that he went to Minnesota in 1915 and later to California where he was a foreman and supervisor on a drilling machine. In the 1940 census, he and Ethel and Marianne lived in Bovey in Itasca County. He was a drill runner at an iron mine, she was postmistress at the post office. Ethel had three years of college. She earned more than he did in 1939. His obit said that he was survived by siblings Lars in Edmonton, Canada, and Helge, Thomas, Toris, Nils, and Mrs. Randi Yorstad, all of Norway. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
