Neshiem was born October 29, 1932 in Sioux Falls, SD to Otto A. and Muriel R. (Stahl) Neshiem. He went to work for Acme Concrete at the age of 16. Dean was united in married to Shirley A. Bridge in Luverne, MN on January 16, 1953. Dean continued to work in the concrete business until retiring in 1981. After retiring they spent six months a year in Thomasville, GA and six months at Lake Hendricks, before finally settling down in Brookings, SD. Dean is survived by his wife of 53 1/2 years, Shirley, of Brookings, SD; two children, Kevin of Sioux Falls, SD, Sheri and her husband Brian Fuehrer of Huron, SD; two grandchildren, Lauren Neshiem and James Neshiem; brother, Vaughn Neshiem and sister Janice Neshiem. Dean was preceded in death by his parents.
