  Notes	Ione Jacoby August 25, 1934 - January 14, 2021 Fresno, California - Ione Lucille Jacoby was born in Greenbush, MN, to Torger and Selma Dalager and passed away January 14, 2021 after a brief illness. Ione grew up on a farm in northern Minnesota, going to school in a one room schoolhouse, and helping in the fields including the picking of the rocks "crop". Ione was very close to her four sisters and brother, who all said she was a gentle, forgiving, nonjudgmental soul, very much like their mother. Ione left the farm and married a Navy man and had her two boys. When Harold left the family she moved to Fresno in 1968 and went to work as a nurse's aide at Saint Agnes Hospital for over 30 years, first on Fruit then Herndon Ave. She raised her boys with much love, not questioning her life circumstances, but showing responsibility and doing the right thing. Ione married Gene Jacoby in 1976 and moved to a little house on Thorne. Ione loved being with her six grandkids and two great grandkids and they loved just being around Grandma. Ione did not have a large group of friends, just very good ones who meant a lot to her. Ione is survived by her son Gary and wife Kim, son Scott and wife Karen, grandchildren Trevor, Tyler, Jenna, Austin and wife Paige, Alex, Lauren, great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Mason, sisters Eunice, Verjean, Lavonne, brother Arlan. Her husband Gene and sister Shirley predeceased her. Rest in Peace Grandma.
