  Notes	Adopted by his aunt and uncle after his parents died. Gordon Bertram Strom, Sr., 93, of Paris passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Mr. Strom had been a resident of Paris the past four years having moved from Jackson, Mississippi. Mr. Strom was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 26, 1919, a son of Halfdan and Anna Petterson Strom. He was a mechanic, composition printer and owned Purser Brothers Printing. After selling the business he and his son Jamie owned Jamie’s Flowers in Jackson. Mr. Strom was a founding member of Broadmeadow United Methodist Church in Jackson. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Air Corp as a crew chief and airplane mechanic. He was a member of the American Legion. He married Eula Martha Sloan on February 5, 1944 in Jackson, Mississippi. She survives. Mr. Strom is also survived by a son Gordon Bertram Strom Jr. M.D. and wife Sandra; grandchildren Kelly George, Paul Strom, and Jordan Pitkin; great grandchildren Taylor and Evan Strom, Nathan, Andrew, Katie, and Gracelyn George. He was preceded in death by a son Jamie Strom.
