  Notes	Elmer Dalager of Montevideo died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Presbyterian Homes on Lake Minnetonka in Spring Park, Minnesota, at the age of 96. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Elmer Norman Dalager was born January 6, 1918 at Granite Falls, MN the son of Christopher and Mathilda (Ellefson) Dalager. He attended rural school and graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1937. Elmer served in the US Navy during WW II and was stationed in the Philippines. On April 6, 1947, he was united in marriage to Idell Erickson at the Hanley Falls Lutheran Church. They lived for a short time in Minneapolis and Marshall, Minnesota, before moving to Montevideo in 1949. Elmer worked at Molde’s Electric before becoming deputy county treasurer in the late 1950's. He served as the Chippewa County Treasurer until retiring in the early 1980's. Elmer played town team baseball in his younger years. He put a lot of time and energy into the development of Lagoon Park. He enjoyed camping, fishing and playing golf. He especially loved being around people and had a good sense of humor.   He is survived by his two daughters: Susan Halverson and her husband Jon of Minnetonka, and Karen Ryan and her husband John of Plymouth; three grandchildren: Molly (Sam) Auseth, Adam (Rhiana) Halverson and Robert Ryan; six great-grandchildren: Olivia and Dylan Auseth, Adriana, Ivy, and Hudson Halvorson, and Lachlyn Ryan. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Idell in 2004; four brothers: Orville, Melvin, Christopher, and Chester Dalager; and two sisters: Lillian Stevens and Ruth Stevens.
