- In the 1930 census, as Petterson, Harry and Ida live on Pleasant Avenue in Minneapolis in a rented apartment. The couple were apparently recently married. Harry was a salesman for a railroad, Ida was a milliner in a millinery shop. Harry was not a veteran.
In the 1940 census, he and Ida lived at 4130 Zenith in Minneapolis, a house worth $10,000. They have a live-in housekeeper, Bertha C Onerem, a widow, age 49. Harry is an agent for a railroad, Ida is a millinery buyer for a women’s specialty shop.
When he registered for the draft in 1942, Harry was employed by the Soo Line.
In the 1950 census, he and Ida lived at 4130 Zenith in Minneapolis. Harry had no occupation and is shown as retired, Ida was a store manager at a millinery.
His obit said that he was survived by Ida and his two sisters, Mrs. Grace Dunsheath of Long Beach, California, and Mrs. May Hebert of Eugene, Oregon. He was also survived by a brother, David, of Frederic, Wisconsin. Harry was a Mason.
