  Notes	Thostenson, Lena age 97 of Clarkfield, formerly of Granite Falls and Hanley Falls, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 in the Granite Falls Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, July 20, 2009 in the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls. There will be a time of fellowship and visiting with the family following the funeral in the church basement. On-line condolences may be sent to sunsetfuneralandcremation.com. Lena Marie Brittenham Thostenson was born January 18, 1912 in Cottonwood, Minnesota to William and Nellie Brittenham. On August 17, 1932 Lena was united in marriage to Gib Thostenson in Marshall, MN. To this union four children were born; Donald, Beverly, Sharon and Larry. The couple settled in Rock Island, Illinois where Gib worked for John Deere and later for Mars Candy Factory. In 1936 the family moved back to the Hanley Falls area where they farmed. In 1974 they moved into Hanley Falls. Lena worked in the Granite Falls Manor and the Granite Falls Hospital until retiring in 1980. She is survived by two daughters and one son; Bev "Sweetie" Mickelson of Burnsville, Sharon (Dwaine) Johnson of Alexandria and Arizona, and Larry (Rosie) Thostenson of Maple Grove, daughter-in-law Beverly Thostenson of Babbitt, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Cora (Kay) Tollefson of Granite Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gib, her son Donald, 2 grandchildren Leslie and Eric Thostenson, her 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
