He is described as of medium height and build with blue eyes and light hair. Inthe 1940 census, he and Thea and Walter lived in Wang Twp in a house they owned that was worth $2000, the same house in which they had lived five years earlier. He had an 8th-grade education, Thea had had two years of high school. Also living with the family was Sigrid Soine, Thea’s mother. From the Granite Falls Tribune, May 31, 1973 (note truncation): Funeral services for Iver H. Ellingboe were held May 16 from the Wang Lutheran Church. He died May 13 in the Granite Falls Hospital. Iver H. Ellingboe was born January 28, 1889, at Granite Falls to Marit and Henry Ellingboe. He was baptized by Pastor Lokensgaard and confirmed by Pastor T. J. Oppendahl. He was married to Thea Soine on January 5, 1916. One son, Walter, was born to this union. He lived in this community all his life, 29 years in Maynard.
