Iver Lockrem was born at Valders, Norway, Feb. 2, 1840, and died at his home in Northfield Thursday morning, March 27, 1919. Death was due to old age. Mr. Lockrem came to America in 1849 and settled in Wisconsin where he lived for some time, later making his home near Decorah, Iowa. In 1855, he moved to Rice county and occupied a farm at Valley Grove where he lived until twelve years ago when he came to Northfield to live. He is survived by two daughters, Miss Minnie Lockrem and Mrs. Ole Telle of Valley Grove, a brother, Lars Lockrem of St. Paul, a sister, Elizabeth Johnson of Spokane, Wash., and five grandchildren. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Nils Kleven, will be held from the home at 9:30 a.m. and at St. Johns church at 10 a.m. Monday.
