That Ole’s occupation was “tjener hos dem.” In the 1900 census, he is Ole O Dalager, a farmer living with his family in Wang Twp, Renville County. He is the Ole O. Dalager of Renville County, “aged 58 years,” who died 31 Jan 1909 in Renville County. He had moved to Renville County in about 1879. That Ole’s wife was Kjersta Lerold and they had two sons and two daughters: Olous, Chris, Ida, and Emma. According to the article in the Mower County Transcript of Lansing, this Ole was the oldest son of Ole A. Dalager of Lansing Twp.
