  Notes	In the 1940 census, he lived at home with his mother and sister. He was a high school graduate and was a soil conservation clerk at the county court house. He made $840 in 1939. In the 1950 census, he and his family lived in Mendota Twp, Dakota County, on “Highway 88 going south of Highway 100.” This was a large farmhouse, divided into a upper-and-lower duplex, in a rural area of what later became Mendota Heights. Donald was a production accountant for a meat producing plant. In the 1956 St. Paul city directory, he was a timekeeper for Armours. He and Irene lived at 1240 7th Avenue S. He was still at Armours in the 1960 St. Paul city directory. In that 1960 directory, his address is incorrectly shown as 1249 7th Avenue S. In Connie’s engagement announcement, he and Irene live at Ambrosius Loop in South St. Paul.
