  Notes	Mistakenly shown as age 3 in the transcription of the 1865 census. In his marriage record, he is shown to have been born in Vestre Slidre. In the 1900 census, he was a farmer in Martin Twp, Rock County, Minnesota. He had come to the U.S. in 1870. His obit said that he had farmed southwest of Hills for more than 60 years and just recently moved into town. He was survived by his widow and nine children. His funeral was at Bethlehem Lutheran on April 26th. His obit said that he was 88 years old.
