  Notes	Via Find A Grave, the following is from the Lennox Diamond Jubilee Book. Included in the early settlers of the West Prairie community were Mr. and Mrs. Ole Fodness. Both were born in Norway, the former August 18, 1853 and the latter February 2, 1854. They spent their earlier years in their native land. Mr. Fodness immigrated to the United States in 1873 and a year later, in 1874, joined his brothers and other early day settlers of the West Prairie community here. His brothers, Abraham and Gulbrand, with other pioneers came here in 1873 and held a claim for him in Grant Township, eight miles southeast of Lennox, on which he filed. Mrs. Fodness, nee Seneve Koorstad, spent her early years in Norway and later, with other family members joined the immigrant's enroute to America and subsequently settled here. She was born at Holingdahl, Norway. Mr. and Mrs. Fodness were joined in wedlock May 26, 1879, here, and continued to make their home in this vicinity. Seven children were born to this union, all of whom are living. These are: Mrs. Louis (Mary) Lind, Mrs. Henry (Anna) Hanson, Mrs. Thomas (Carrie) Clark, Cornelius, Theodore, Martin, and Oscar O. Fodness.
