Vang C, p. 232 shows 1822 and calls him Knut Endresson Tørpe and his wife as Gjartrud Tomasdatter Ellestad. In that 1865 census, he is a husmann med jord on Veflen Øvre. He is living with his son Thomas in the 1900 census.
