  Notes	He survived his father’s 2nd wife who died in late 2008. John Siljan Austinson, age 90, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter on July 30, 2022. John was born on March 12, 1932 in Havre, MT. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frieda Theresa (Siljan) and Myron Conrad Austinson; and his sisters, Marget Stiegler (Austinson) and Nordis Johnson (Austinson). John will be remembered for the passion he brought to all his endeavors and the tender loving heart he showed to family and friends. John was a devoted and caring father to his three children. He majored in history at St. Olaf College and Milton College and loved history throughout his life. John excelled in sales. He was Midwest salesman of the year for Encyclopedia Britannica and owned a successful coin dealership for many years. John retired in Sun City, AZ in 1994. During retirement, he loved listening to the Great Courses history lectures and William W. Johnstone's Western novels and watching the Western Channel. When his failing health permitted, he enjoyed the weekly Bible Study on Zoom with Pastor Gary Luallin (Sun City, AZ). John is survived by his wife, Cecilia "Sue" (Masilko); his daughter, Karen (Brad) Lewis; two stepsons, John Booker, and Phillip (Julie) Booker; a grandson, Austin Thompson; three nieces, Sara Johnson Sullivan, Kirsten (Rich Lay) Lysne, and Marit (James Rosati) Lysne; and four nephews, Waldo Johnson, III, Michael Johnson, Mark Johnson, and Erik Lysne. An interment will take place at American Lutheran Church of Sun City, AZ.
