  Notes	Pilot in the Navy during World War II and the Korean conflict. His obit said that in World War II he flew nearly every type of plane in the Navy and was especially proud to have flown the Corsair and Hellcat fighter planes and the Douglas Dauntless dive bomber. He flew both day and night missions from aircraft carriers. He remained in the Naval Reserve and was called up to serve in the Korean war. He flew Banshee photo reconnaissance jets off of the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge. Attended Carroll College in Waukesha before enlisting in the Navy in 1942. President and Chairman of the Board of the bank in Amherst.
