- Funeral servies were held at 2 p. m., Tuesday, May 24, at the Vang church, for Lawrence Lockrem, 18 year old son of Austin Lockrem, with Rev. L. A. Wogen officiating. Mrs. W. H. Ross of Stillwater sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "Thy Will be Done" with Mrs. Cyrus Midje at the organ. Pallbearers were: Lowell Estren, Donald Haugen, James Haugen, Peder Underdahl, Lyndon Lockrem and Ormenzo Brekken. Lawrence Christopher Lockrem was born December 8, 1931 in Warsaw township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Lockrem. He was a member of the Vang church and was confirmed in 1948. Surviving are two sisters, Miss Beatrice Lockrem of Minneapolis and Miss Gladys Lockrem of Northfield; two brothers, Austin Lockrem, Jr., of Northfield and Marvin at home. His father also survives. Attending the funeral from out-of-town were: Mrs. Margaret Bonhus, Mr. and Mrs. F. K. Smith, Mrs. Victor Olson and daughter, Marcia, of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Naurice Husbyn and Arthur Estrem of Goodhue, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Tullberg and son, Allen of Albert Lea and Mrs. W. H. Ross of Stillwater.
