  Notes	Gladys Viola King, 63, of rural Dennison, died Monday, July 4, 1988 at District One Hospital in Faribault. She was born Sept.13, 1924 in Goodhue County to Austin and Malvina (Estrem) King. She attended country schools. King spent her entire life on the farm where she was born. She worked for Malt-O-Meal, Laura Baker School and Carleton College. Following her marriage to Alva King on Feb. 23, 1952, she moved to her family farm where she raised four children. Gardening and reading were hobbies of King. She also was a member of Ladies Aid at Vang Lutheran Church in rural Dennison. She is survived by her husband; four children, Mrs. Alice James Oleson, rural Dennison, Robert King, Farmington, Alan King, Dennison, and David King, rural Dennison; five grandchildren; one brother, Austin Lockrem, Northfield; and one sister, Beatrice Lockrem, Dennison. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Marvin. The funeral service was held Thursday, July 7, 1988 at 2 p.m. at Vang Lutheran Church, the Rev. Curtis Schneider officiating. Interment was at Vang Cemetery. Pallbearers were Virgil King, Joel Stenhaug, Herman Braaten, Lowell Estrem, Austin Brekken and Peder Underdahl.
