  Notes	He, indexed as Edward Ratfeild, was a farmer in Springvale Twp, Isanti County, at the time of the 1920 census. In the 1930 census, he and his family lived in south Minneapolis at 2422 25th Avenue, a rented domicile. He was a blacksmith at a tractor company. He was not a military veteran. In the 1940 census, he and his family were still in south Minneapolis. He was a janitor in an office building. He had an eighth-grade education, Mary had a 6th grade education. Neither Joyce nor any of her brothers were living at home. He and Mary lived at 302 Lyndale Ave. N. at the time of Joyce’s wedding. Treated for a back injury after he was struck by a car in April of 1943. His obit in the Star on 24 Jun 1977, said he was survived by his wife, one son, Clinton, and four daughters, Joyce Wagner, June Johnson, Jeanette Lindman, and Jane Ehrenberg, 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
