She was employed as a “helper.” Geraldine (Geri) Lorraine Ringdal- Burke of Robbinsdale danced her way into heaven on October 11, 2023, at the remarkable age of 102. Born Geraldine Pederson on July 28, 1921, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Geri brought joy to everyone she met with her infectious smile and vibrant personality. Geri was a true champion of family values, always putting her loved ones first. After graduating from North High School in Minneapolis she married her high school sweetheart, Rolf, shortly before he was deployed for World War II. Geri believed in the power of prayer and was an active member of St. Austin's Catholic Church (Now St. Bridget's), making many lifelong friends along the way. She was a loyal fan of the Vikings, Twins, and Gophers, and had an abiding love for animals. She is survived by her daughter, Claire McLorie, and sons Rick (Katie) Ringdal, Jim (Kathy) Ringdal, Tom (Diane) Ringdal, and stepson Jerry Burke. Geri's legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren, Shawne (Mike) and Eric (Nina) Van De Steeg; Tony (Tracy), Chris (Sarah), Erik (Tiffany) and Greg (Andrea) Sorenson; Sarah (James) Dittmar, Leah (JT) Koenig; Bethany (Brenden) Ringdal, Alyssa (Dave) Nissen and Nate (Taylor) Ringdal, and 21 great-grandchildren, who brought their Mimi endless delight. Geri also leaves many nieces, nephews and neighbors who adored her. Geri was preceded in death by her sister, June Heusinkveld, husband Rolf Ringdal, and second husband Emmett Burke. A celebration of Geri's long and wonderful life will take place on Sunday, November 5th, 2023 at the Church of St. Bridget, 3811 Emerson Ave N, Minneapolis. Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM, followed at 2:30 PM by the Mass of Christian Burial. She will be interred at Crystal Lake Cemetery. Wife, Mom, Mimi, Auntie, Friend. She will be forever in our hearts.
