  Notes	In the 1950 census, he and Iola and their three children lived in Tioga. Clarence worked at a filling station, Iola was an operator at a telephone exchange. His wife Iola’s obituary is as follows: Trusting in God’s promise of salvation, Iola Gilbertson Warford passed away peacefully on September 23, 2015 in the Long Term Care Center in Tioga. Iola would have been 100 years old on October 13, 2015. Iola Strand was born in Maynard, Minnesota, to Gilbert and Bertha (Ellingboe) Strand. Later the family moved to Tioga, North Dakota, where she was blessed with the births of her sisters, Esther- (Roy-deceased), Nelson- (the parents of her nephew Richard (Sandra) Nelson), and Beulah– deceased (Lloyd-deceased) Hanchett- (the parents of her nephew Vaughon (Nancy) Hanchett). She graduated from Tioga High School in 1934. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Tioga. Iola and her husband Clarence Gilbertson (deceased) managed the Tioga Farmers Telephone Exchange. Later they became part owners of the Tioga Sand and Gravel Company. Clarence and Iola were blessed with the births of their sons Ronald (Beatta-deceased) Gilbertson, and Roger (Clydia) Gilbertson, and their daughter LaVon (Ron) Anderson. After several years of widowhood, Iola married Hugh Warford. They made their home in Tioga. Hugh worked for Cactus Concrete and Iola was a U.S. Postal employee. After Hugh passed away Iola continued to live in Tioga. In her later years she moved to the Tioga Medical Center Independent Care and then to the Long Term Care. Her grandchildren are Ronald and Beatta’s daughters, Rita (Lyle-deceased) Oleson and Shirley (Tom) Qualley; Roger and Clydia’s sons Kyle (Karen) Gilbertson and Lynn Gilbertson; and Ron and LaVon’s sons, Michael Anderson and Mark (Sabrina) Anderson. Her great grandchildren are Rita’s children, Courtney and Jake; Shirley’s children, Amber and Rachelle; Kyle’s children, Hayden, Madelyn, Ethan, Collin, and Cameron; and Mark’s daughter Alexandria. Her great-great grandchildren are Amber’s son Kale; Rachelle’s daughters Riley Jo and Isabella, and her sons Kaleb and Jackson (deceased); and Courtney’s daughters Bridgette and Morgan and her son Zakary.
