  Notes	In the 1865 census, she is, presumably, the Berte Johnsdatter, “hendes Moder”, age 61, a widow born in Næss, who is living with Andreas and Agnete on Haagenstad in Vardal. An illegitimate Berthe was born 3 Feb 1805 in Nes to Kirsti Joensdatter Hovie and Johannes Joensen. This Berthe was confirmed in 1819 in Nes as Berthe Johannesdatter. Her mother was referred to as Kirsti Johnsdatter. A Berthe was born 23 Mar 1806 in Nes to Joen Joensen Gressing and Anne Pedersdatter, bapt. 18 May. This Berthe was confirmed in 1820 in Nes as Berthe Johnsdtr. Her parents were John Johnsen and Anne Pedersdatter.
