  Notes	In the 1895 Minnesota census, he may be the David Graham, age 22 and born in Canada, who was a teamster in Hibbing. That David had been in the state for 2 years. In the 1900 census, David Graham, born in January of 1875 in England, was living in Hibbing. He was single and was boarding at a hotel run by Joseph and Altha Stuart. (His wife-to-be was a chambermaid at that hotel in 1900.) David was a building contractor and had come to the U.S. in 1893. In the 1905 state census, he and his family live at 325 Washington Street in Hibbing. He and his parents were born in England. He is a contractor and has been in the state for 16 years and the local enumeration district for 12 years. In the 1910 census, the family was also at the 325 Washington Street address. The family is shown as David Graham, 36, a contractor in the building industry, his wife Augusta M., 36, and their children George W., 8, Gladys E., 7, and Grenith V., 5. The family also had four boarders living with them. David and Augusta had been married for 10 years and it was the first marriage for each. Augusta is shown has having borne 3 children, all still living. He registered for the draft on September 9, 1918, in Hibbing, as David Graham. He was a contractor who lived with his wife Minnie A. at 325 Washington in Hibbing. He was 43 years old, a naturalized citizen, born on 12 January 1875. He was described as tall and of medium build with blue eyes and brown hair. They were living at the same location (which is in Stuntz township) at the time of the 1920 census. The family consisted of David, 44, his wife Minnie, 40, their son George, 18, their daughter Gladys, 16, and their daughter Grenith, 15. David is a contractor in the building industry. In the 1930 census, David and Minnie Graham were living at 325 Washington Street in Hibbing. They own their own house, valued at $16000. They are both 55 and have been married 30 years. David was born in England as were both of his parents. Minnie was born in Minnesota and her parents in Germany. David emigrated to this country in 1876 and he is a naturalized citizen. David is a contractor in the bridge construction industry. He is not a veteran. Living with them is Minnie’s 81 year-old widowed mother. They also apparently rent out part of their house, for which they charge $22 per month in rent, to a pair of sisters from Wisconsin. In the 1940 census, David and Minnie live at 325 Washington in a house they own worth $2000. It’s the same house in which they both lived in 1935. They rent out three apartments in the house, for which they receive a total of $75/month rent. David was educated through the third grade, Minnie through the fourth grade. In the 1938-39 Hibbing city directory, David and Minnie Graham live at 325 Washington. They’re at the same address in the 1940-41 city directory. Their telephone number is 164. The information is the same in the 1942-43 directory. In the 1948 Hibbing city directory, David and Minnie live at 330 Superior. He had a brother Edward who lived in Canada. One of his grandsons has published an extensive genealogy of the Graham and Kilburn families.
