 | Anna Bowe Anderson and her granddaughter Probably taken in November of 1917 when Anna and Charly would have been in Minneapolis for their granddaughter's baptism. Anna would have been 54. Cora also had a postcard of this image which indicates that it was originally made by the studio of Walfrid Westman, 1425 Washington Avenue South, Minneapolis. |
 | Anna Bowe with a friend Taken probably around 1890 when Anna was in La Crosse working as a domestic. This is a 4x6 print mounted on board stock by F.W. Mould, 413 S. Third St., La Crosse. Cora's annotation indicates "My Mother" and "a friend." |
 | Martha and Anna Bowe The woman on the left is unknown. Martha is in the middle, Anna on the right. Odd personal decorations: perhaps it's the Fourth of July. This is probably from the mid to late 1880s. Cora's annotation on the back is "& friend Aunt Martha My Mother." |
 | Group at the Nundahls', about 1919 Cora's mother, Anna Bowe Anderson, is in the middle (4th from left). Cora's aunt Bertha is on the right. Clara is third from the left and Rhoda Ekum is on the far left. Taken at Bertha and Sever's house. The woman in the dark dress, 2nd from the left, is Anna Anderson Nelson. |
 | Group at the Nundahls', about 1919 Cora's mother, Anna Bowe Anderson is on the left in the back row. Cora's aunt Bertha is on the right in the back row, right side. Clara Nundahl is in the middle front. Taken at Bertha and Sever's house. The original is a postcard on which Cora's annotation suggests that the girl on the right in the front is "Anna N." That woman, in the dark dress on Clara's left, is Anna Nelson. The three other women in the picture may be Inge Nundahl (Mrs. Sam), Ida Anderson, and/or Rhoda Ekum. |
 | Bess Erickson Carlson, Betsy Erickson, and Anna Bowe This is a postcard that Cora apparently never sent. It is addressed to Miss Rhoda Ekum at Route 4, Viroqua. The message is My Dear Cousin Rhoda. This is my baby and her grandmothers. Vivian says many thanks for her doll she has a great time with it and she will try to remember you with something so you have it coming if you want get it before we come next summer but you will get it. Please write to me as I haven't very much time for writing. from Cora.
The occasion is the baptism of Cora's daughter in November of 1917. |
